Bespoke: Catherine Todd died because she had Cancer, but could no longer afford Chemo, so Willis Todd took the job with Two-Face to help Catherine. Except he got arrested leaving Catherine with a low source of income so she had to rely on other sources for pain relief. And it’s Gotham so whatever meds she got weren’t safe.

Stop villainizing Willis. Stop simplifying Catherine’s situation. Sheila and Bruce are fair game, but Willis and Catherine were good people in a bad situation.

Can’t get over the bit in RHATO where Jason finds the letters from his dad that Ma Gunn was hiding from him. It doesn’t make sense timeline-wise but goddamn does it feel so so right. It so perfectly calls back to the bitterness with which Jason spoke of his father, all the way back in his introduction. A good chunk of that bitterness probably being because Jason felt his father had abandoned him.

The Todds are screwed by the system at every turn. Of course Jason not only loses his father to prison, but something more intangible to the abuses of the foster system.

People always say bruce kidnapped jason immediately after meeting him but at least he only took him in after leaving him at the crime orphanage didn’t work out. With cass they had exactly one conversation consisting of them drawing in the dirt and throwing punches at each other while bruce projected his past experiences onto her and then he was welcoming her in like “i have complete confidence that she won’t kill anybody”
